A.S.M.O. Electronics Workshop at South Hill Park DMC

Electronic Instruments for gestural performance
South Hill Park Digital Media Centre, Bracknell
11th & 12th June 2011

Stu Smith (A.S.M.O.) will be returning to Bracknell again in June for another 2 day electronics workshop.
Participants will build an electronic sound / noise instrument designed for gestural performance, utilising very simple oscillators, filters, modulation and feedback.

By taking a modular approach to electronics, quite complex instruments can be made by combing several very simple circuits. Using touch controls, tilt switches, light and temperature sensors the performer becomes an integral part of the instrument, tone, pitch and rhythm are controlled by body resistance and movement.
Participants will learn how to assemble circuits from readily available standard components and how they can be adapted to enhance circuit bent devices.

No previous electronics experience is necessary although good eye sight and a steady hand is recommended
